Kia ora tatou Over the last week or so it has been the turn of our Year 9 and 10 students to sit their end of year examinations. We have been pleased with the general attitude students have shown towards the examinations. As results of the examinations are collated and given back to the students, it is important for them to remember that the school year is far from over. Subject areas will continue to offer engaging programmes right up until our last day, which is Friday 8 December 2017. Thank you to everyone who made our recent Year 8 camps a great success. I understand 8WM and 8FY were greeted with stunning weather during their week in Queenstown. I would also like to acknowledge the input from our parent volunteers. Many thanks to them for their time and effort. I accompanied some Year 8 students to the Sinclair Wetlands this week to help in the removal and regeneration of vegetation surrounding the wetlands. I was impressed with the enthusiasm the students displayed towards their assigned tasks. The day provided an excellent learning opportunity, as well as a chance to contribute to our community and positively enhance our natural environment. Noho ora mai Dave Hunter Principal
