Students at Taieri College are given the opportunity to study a broad range of subjects from Years 7-10 igniting their interests, allowing them to discover their strengths and make informed decisions when it comes to selecting senior courses.

We place particular emphasis on covering the Technology and Arts programme over the four years and creating the opportunity for students to learn another language. All Science programmes are delivered by specialist Science teachers using laboratories. Year 7 and Year 8 students are home roomed in specially designed classrooms. At Year 9 and 10 students follow a more traditional secondary structured day.

The Head of Learning for the Junior school is Deputy Principal Mrs Karen Rosevear assisted by Mr Jarrad Waldron, Assistant Principal.

Students' pastoral needs are covered by their form teacher and the Deans appointed to each year level. We have two experienced and qualified Counsellors on staff.

There is an extensive range of external supports that we can access to help our young people.
